The overclocking state is achieved by enhancing the frequency of the core clock and memory clock, and also by changing the graphics card voltage (mV) and power limit. the XFX is new, has warranty and according to buildzoid it has one of the best PCBs on a 580, but is fugly and more expensive. I did have to tweakk the fan curve trough Afterburner tho cuz it got pretty hot with the basic curve, but under 50% fan speed its silent. So Ive overclocked my Sapphire nitro RX580 8GB from 1411MHz to 1460, and for the memory I overclocked from 2000MHz to 2600MHz, which is 350MHz over the official overclocking limit . I run it at 1450MHz without underclock,max fan speed is 40% and i never saw it being hotter than 65c. Jul 30, 2020 · I have the Sapphire 580 Nitro+ and undervolt/underclock it ti 1315@950mv, consumption dropped by 30-40% vs stock and temps are way lower. My PowerColor Red Devil RX 580 also gets quite hot, and would get very hot when overclocked. The only exception is the RX 6500 XT which is a sidegrade at best and depending on the games you play and your system configuration it may even be a downgrade. It's still going strong, have had 0 issues.
